Battling With (One-Handed) Battleguards

This is just another part of the Dress Collection, featuring 1-Handed Items. [By all means, feel free to skip below if this isn’t exactly your thing!)

WoWScrnShot_070815_000457 (2)

This first set features a Infection Repulser (Drops in Normal 10-Man Naxxramas, from Grobbulus and Gluth) + the Wild Gladiator’s Endgame (Season 2 Elite PVP Offhand),

WoWScrnShot_070815_000328 (2)

#2 features Tihan, Scepter of the Sleeping Emperor (Drops in Heroic Mogu’Shan Vaults, from Qin-xi and Jan-xi), plus the offhand above.

WoWScrnShot_070815_000315 (2)

Our third set includes the same offhand (it fit really well, ok?) and the Hand of the Dark Animus (Drops in Throne of Thunder, from Dark Animus).

WoWScrnShot_070815_000145 (2)

This offhand would also probably fit a blazing battleguard set. It is the Wild Gladiator’s Pummeler (Purchased from Amelia Clarke in Stormshield for 1,750 Honor Points [Alliance Only]) ) / Wild Gladiator’s Bonecracker (Purchased from Cladd Dawnstrider in Warspear for 1,750 Honor Points [Horde Only])

WoWScrnShot_070815_000127 (2)

And finally, there’s  another option that could work well with the blazing battleguard sets- Kri’tak, Imperial Scepter of the Swarm (Drops in Heart of Fear, from Grand Empress Shek’zeer)

Shamalamadingdong

I’m a little ashamed of that title. This post has a couple of variations on the Skyshatter set – which mostly focuses on the weapon choices. Because of the Skyshatter set, these are shaman only!

  • This set features the sword Slayer of the Lifeless (Drops in Normal 10-Man Naxxramas, from Gothik the Harvester and Gluth). It works extremely well with the off-hand above.

Trumping the Triumvirate, Part 2

Featuring 1H weapons. This set, pretty though it may be, is not an easy match for most weapons – but I did the best I could!

Tri7

  • Dagger of the Seven Stars (Drops in Mogu’shan Vaults, from Cobalt Guardian, Jade Guardian, Amethyst Guardian, and Jasper Guardian)

Trumping the Triumvirate

Wrapping up the Dress Collection involves the Robes of the Triumvirate. That’s not to say that more tweaks won’t be added as new expansions come out, though. These transmogs can all be done with either the Robes of the Triumvirate OR the Robes of Insight, as they share the same skin. Also, multiple weapon options will be posted. As usual, these sets can be worn by all cloth wearers.

The Charmed Cierge

As I’ve mentioned a few times now, this staff is my most favorite in the entire game. It seems to have a stupidly low drop rate – Wowhead lists it as .75%, and other estimations are similar. Because it’s one of the most unique models I’ve seen in game, and is extraordinarily pretty (IMO), I took the time….the lengthy time… to farm this piece. And similarly, I’ve designed a fair few outfits around it, two of which you’ve already seen. (More of which will be posted in time.)

But as for close-ups on this staff, I thought I’d make a separate entry – even if I’m the only one looking at it. (It’s just so pretty!) And even though I took these photos pre-enchant on my transmog weapon, Jade Spirit actually complements the flames on this staff very, very nicely. (BONUS.)

Enjoy the photos. I know I will come back and do so!

Gazing at Black Ash

I love the Soulgaze Cowl. It’s probably one of my favorite helms in the game! Little surprise, then, that there are two transmogs featuring this particular helm. (And honestly, there may be more!) This first set features a robe that dropped when I was farming Blackwing Lair for the Nemesis Set!

I matched up two particular weapons with this set. Enjoy!

A Heart for the Void

This is the last of the tier posts for a while – by combining them into multiples, I’ve managed to knock out a few in just two posts. This one, however, I thought I’d give it’s own thread. Not because it’s necessarily my favorite (it isn’t, though it’s not a bad looking set), but because I had fun with weapons again! So scroll down to check out the Voidheart set, complete with a few weapon options to go along with it!

Voidheart 2

Blazing Battleguards

This is a follow-up post to our Battleguard set, first posted here. This series focuses on weapons and the fiery version of the Battleguard sets.

The weapons listed below are all staves – there are some swords and daggers that match this set nicely that may be added at some point, but that are also listed in the general Battleguard section.

Sinners and Saints – Slaying with Swords

This is the second Robes of the Guardian Saint-dedicated post. The first – which has two different sets of transmog options listed as well as staff options – can be found here.

This post will focus on 1-handed swords!

Saints and Sinners

This is the second dress robe I acquired for transmog from AQ. This post will focus on the Robes of the Guardian Saint.

There are two options I set up for this.

The Corruptors and The Deathbringers

Or, simply, a 2x tier post.

For me,  I find most tier sets to be rather boring. There may be one or two pieces you can switch out to make a nice match, but overall – it’s still a fairly generic tier set. So then it becomes about finding amazing weapons to match, which is really what this post is all about – the weapons I use for each of these particular tier sets.

The first tier set is the Conquerer’s Deathbringer set. I am a huge fan of the purple version of this tier set, so that’s what I’ve gone for.

Deathbringer

For this particular tier set, there is an orange/blue recolor and a maroon/cyan-type-blue recolor.

And obviously – tier sets are warlock only.

Level Required: 90

Then there’s the Corruptor set, here:

Corruptor

Featuring what is quite possibly the most perfect sword in the world for this set.

Level Required: 70

Items used:

I will probably pair up tier sets like this, mostly because – well, they aren’t very unique! Still, sometimes a great and appropriate weapon makes all the difference in making a person love the tier sets again. (Like me!)
